You’ll notice that items contained in the registry do not have a value although they may have been appraised for you or for some other client. This is both to protect buyers and sellers. The ‘value’ of any item will depend on several things including the marketplace being discussed, the payment terms and other things that are specific to the individual sale. If you are a buyer of an item listed in the registry and are looking for an appraisal for your insurance or other purposes, we may be able to help. It will still be necessary to inspect the piece to verify it's current condition and to confirm that it hasn’t been altered or damaged since the original inspection. As a buyer from one of our registry customers we will require specific permission from our previous client (your seller) to do an appraisal for you at all but with this permission, we are happy to give a discounted rate on your appraisal for this item. As our new client, you will be fully covered under our privacy policy and we will not discuss you or your property without your specific permission or a court order to do so. This includes any discussion with our previous client, your seller. All we need is a signed bill of sale from the registered owner indicating that they have sold the piece to you and giving us permission to transfer the registration to you as the new owner and, of course, your desire to do so. Please call us at 303-223-4944 to schedule an appointment. |
